Welcome to the new Cyberfraud Centre website

A new name. A new look. The same commitment to tackling cybercrime and cyber-enabled fraud.

We’re entering a new chapter. Today, we’re launching The Cyberfraud Centre – a new name, identity and website that reflect how far we’ve come, what we do today and where we’re heading next.

You might have noticed that things look a little different round here.

Formerly the Cyber and Fraud Centre – Scotland, we’re now The Cyberfraud Centre.

While our name and appearance have changed, our purpose remains the same:

Helping organisations protect themselves against cybercrime and cyber-enabled fraud, build resilience and access the knowledge, skills and support they need.

But this change is more than a new logo.

It’s about reflecting the organisation we’ve become and our ambitions for the future.

How we’ve evolved

Since our beginnings in Scotland, we’ve grown and developed alongside the organisation and communities we support.

What started as a commitment to bringing people together to tackle cybercrime and cyber-enabled fraud has developed into a much broader offering combining practical cyber security services, specialist expertise, training, threat intel and a supportive community.

Today, we work with organisations of different sizes, sectors and levels of cyber maturity. From small and medium sized businesses, to charities, membership organisations and public sector bodies. Our focus is on making cyber security and fraud prevention more accessible, understandable and achievable.

We’ve also seen how the challenges facing organisations have changed.

Cybercrime and cyber-enabled fraud are no longer issues that can be left to IT teams. They impact people, processes, finances, operations and reputations. And as criminals continue to adapt their methods, organisations need access to practical advice, trusted expertise and support that reflect the risks they face.

That’s where we come in.

More than cyber security services

As our CEO, Jude McCorry outlines,

“As a social enterprise, we believe that protecting organisations against cybercrime should be about more than providing technical solutions.

It’s about sharing knowledge, developing skills, building confidence and creating connections that help organisations become more resilient.”

Our work brings together three core areas:

  1. Professional services

Practical cyber security support, from penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, to strategic advice and guidance.

We help organisations identify weaknesses, understand their risks and take action.

  • Skills and training

Accessible learning opportunities that help individuals, teams and leaders develop the knowledge and confidence to recognise and respond to cyber threats.

We give user friendly training for all team levels, for organisations of all sizes but particularly want to help charities, and small to medium sized organisations that may not have the capacity to build their cyber resilience.

  • Membership and community support

Bringing together organisations and partners to share experiences, access trusted intelligence, and learn from each other.

We support our members to improve their cyber culture with monthly training events, access to free templates and documents, and weekly threat reports directly to their inboxes.

Together, these activities reflect our belief that stronger cyber resilience comes from combining technical expertise with informed people and connected communities.

A new identity that reflects who we are now

Our previous identity served us really well, but as the Centre developed, we recognised that our brand needed to better reflect the breadth of our work and the organisations we support.

Our new name, The Cyberfraud Centre, brings cybercrime and fraud together in a clearer, more recognisable identity.

Our refreshed visual identity and website have been designed to make it easier to understand who we are, what we offer and how we can help.

We’ve also taken the opportunities to make our communications clearer and more accessible. Cyber security can be complicated. We don’t believe that explaining it needs to be.

Whether we’re sharing threat information with our members, or alerts on our social media channels, or delivering a training session – our aim is to provide straightforward, useful information that helps people make informed decisions.

Our new brand reflects that approach.

To our members, partners, clients and wider community, thank you for being part of our journey so far.

We’re looking forward to what comes next.
