11:00Panel 1 – There Isn’t One Route Into CyberThere is no single route into cyber security, and this panel proves it. Hear from a range of panellists who entered the industry through different paths. Whether you choose university, college, an apprenticeship or discover cyber later in your career, every journey is different. Our speakers will share the choices they made, the challenges they faced and the opportunities that helped shape their careers. If you’re wondering where to start or whether cyber security is right for you, this session will show you that there isn’t one ‘correct’ path. Just lots of exciting possibilities.
11:30Panel 2 – What Do Employers Look For?What skills do employers really value? Is it technical knowledge, qualifications or something else entirely? This panel brings together university leaders, employers and cyber professionals to discuss how anyone thinking of entering the sector can prepare for a career in cyber security. From building knowledge to developing communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills, you’ll hear practical advice on what organisations are looking for. Whether you’re choosing your next subject, applying for university, or thinking of switching careers, this session will help you understand the skills employers are looking for.

Join women working in leadership, sales, learning and development and other non-technical roles as they share how they contribute to cyber security every day. Find out more about the breadth of careers available and why communication, creativity, business knowledge and leadership are just as important as technical expertise in the fight to keep organisations safe online.
13:30Panel 4 – Building Better Links Between Education and IndustryHow can education and industry work better together to inspire the next generation of women in cyber security? This panel will discuss what’s working, where there are gaps and how employers can help make a difference.
