The Cyber and Fraud Centre – Scotland has been awarded the prestigious Gold Accreditation as a four-day week employer by the 4-Day Week Foundation. This recognition highlights the Centre’s commitment to flexible working, employee wellbeing, and a positive work culture.

The Centre has successfully operated a four-day working week for over 3 years, without any reduction in salary. This approach has enhanced work-life balance, supported staff wellbeing, and enabled team members to bring their full commitment to their roles.

Kara McLaughlin, Head of People says, “When we moved to a four-day week, our team members had no adjustments to their salary. This was about giving our people the space to thrive personally and professionally. The benefits have been clear, a motivated and resilient team that delivers for our clients and communities.”

Daniel Heraghty adds, “Working a four-day week keeps me motivated and helps improve my productivity. Focusing on work priorities intensively has encouraged me to also explore other creative avenues I’m passionate about during my non-work periods.”

The recognition aligns with the Centre’s mission to deliver accessible, affordable and relevant cyber and fraud services to all, and its vision to be the leading and trusted socially-driven organisation in cyber and fraud. The values of integrity, ethics and making a difference are embedded in the Centre’s approach to its staff, as well as its services.

By fostering a culture of flexibility and balance, the Cyber and Fraud Centre – Scotland ensures its people are best equipped to help organisations combat cybercrime and fraud.
