What is a vulnerability assessment?

A vulnerability assessment is a systematic process of identifying, classifying, and prioritising vulnerabilities in an organisation’s IT systems, networks, and applications. It helps organisations understand and manage their cyber security risks by providing a comprehensive overview of their security posture.

Why are vulnerability assessments important for SMEs and non-profit organisations?

SMEs and non-profit organisations often lack the resources and expertise to implement comprehensive cyber security programs. Vulnerability assessments provide a cost-effective and practical approach to identifying and addressing cyber security weaknesses before they can be exploited by attackers.

How are vulnerability assessments different from penetration tests?

Vulnerability assessments focus on identifying weaknesses in an organisation’s systems, while penetration tests attempt to exploit those weaknesses to simulate a real-world attack. Penetration tests are more comprehensive and expensive than vulnerability assessments, but they can provide more in-depth information about the organisation’s security posture.

What are the benefits of Cyber Advance vulnerability assessments?

Cyber Advance vulnerability assessments are conducted by experienced ethical hackers who use a variety of tools and techniques to identify a wide range of vulnerabilities. The assessments are prioritised based on severity and exploitability, providing organisations with a clear action plan for remediation.

Who should consider a Cyber Advance vulnerability assessment?

Any organisation, regardless of size or industry, can benefit from a vulnerability assessment. However, they are particularly valuable for SMEs and non-profit organisations that may not have the resources for more comprehensive cyber security measures.

What is cyber awareness training?

Cyber awareness training is a type of training that educates employees about cyber security threats and how to protect themselves and the organisation from them. The training covers a wide range of topics, including:

  • Identifying and avoiding common cyber threats, such as phishing emails and malware
  • Creating strong passwords and protecting sensitive information
  • Using secure websites and networks
  • Reporting cyber incidents

Why is cyber awareness training important?

Cyber awareness training is important for all organisations, regardless of size or industry. Cyber-attacks are becoming more sophisticated and frequent, and human error is a major factor in many breaches. By investing in cyber awareness training, organisations can:

  • Reduce the risk of cyber-attacks
  • Improve their overall security posture
  • Comply with industry regulations

What are the benefits of cyber awareness training?
