New Scottish Training Partnership Puts People At The Heart of Cyber Resilience

Cyber and Fraud Centre – Scotland has partnered with Stellar Elevate, the digital awareness and education division of Stellar Omada to offer organisations in Scotland a new approach to workplace cyber security awareness, combining practical training with an interactive team challenge that puts learning into practice.

Both organisations share a focus on creating wider social impact through skills, education and opportunities, and the new collaboration – the Cyber Security Culture Training Day – will help make practical cyber security learning accessible and engaging for organisations and their employees.

Delivered through the Centre’s Cyber Skills Academy, the Cyber Security Culture Training Day combines practical cyber security training with Stellar Elevate’s interactive and gamified Cyber Resilience Escape Room.

The introductory session covers issues employees are likely to encounter in every day life, including phishing, password security, protecting devices and data, and reporting cyber incidents.

Participants then work together through an interactive escape challenge, solving scenarios covering areas including phishing emails, ransomware and business email compromise.

The aim is to move beyond passive awareness training, by giving employees an opportunity to experience realistic cyber security scenarios, make decisions and apply what they have learned.

The experience can accommodate groups of up to 100 people at a time, as well as smaller teams across multiple sessions, and can form part of a wider staff development programme, team-building day, company away day or organisation-wide cyber awareness campaign.

The collaboration with Stellar Elevate brings together that social purpose with practical cyber skills and learning, helping organisations strengthen their cyber resilience while supporting wider positive impact.

The new cyber culture programme is available to all organisations across Scotland and can be tailored to different workforce sizes and environments.
