Break the Chain – Human Trafficking Awareness Session

In partnership with Police Scotland, this session is for any business who recruits using third parties.

The campaign will look at ethical use and recruitment of labour to prevent exploitation at all points in the recruitment chain. We will also be encouraging businesses to report those who are using exploited labour or not recruiting ethically so that the chains used by serious and organised criminals can be broken.

This does not preclude the message being targeted at small businesses too who may be tempted in the current difficult economic climate to exploit their workers.

We all have a part to play in eradicating labour exploitation. This helps to level the playing field, making ethical business practices a more attractive proposition.

Being removed by a third party from the recruitment and control of exploited labour is no excuse for ethical businesses, modern slavery is still a crime.
