Scotland’s Cyber Experts get on board with Get Safe Online Global24: the world’s longest ever non-stop online safety awareness event
On 15th October, cyber security experts in partnership with Get Safe Online will join a unique global event: ‘Get Safe Online Global24’: 24 hours of non-stop online safety events organised by specialists in over 24 countries.
Cyber Security organisations from across Scotland will participate in ‘The Big Scottish Cyber Quiz 2020’.
Join cyber experts battle against one another to win a no-expense spared, much coveted prize. Pitch your brains against these esteemed experts at this fun filled event.

Quizmaster, Kirstie Steele said: “We are delighted to get involved with the Get Safe Online Global 24 event. We will be taking over the virtual global baton from Rwanda and using the Scottish hour to have a little bit of cyber related fun. We encourage everyone to join in, check their knowledge of cyber security against some challenging (and not-so-challenging) questions and generally support and celebrate this great way of raising cyber awareness.”

October is universally acknowledged as cybersecurity month, as well as coinciding with Get Safe Online Week, an annual showcase event. This year’s theme for the week is ‘Back to Basics’, which closely aligns with the theme of the global event.
People around the world are urged to take a few simple steps to help reduce the chance of falling victim to online harms, whether at home, in the workplace or whilst out and about.
