Theft of Trailers in West Lothian
On the evening of 23rd October, two Ifor Williams trailers were stolen from a secured compound in an industrial estate in Livingston. Locks were broken, allowing access to the compound where the trailers were towed away.
Sergeant Keith Jack of the SBRC Police Business Resilience Team said, “I would urge all businesses to check their security arrangements. Simple measures such as ensuring CCTV cameras are positioned properly, and recording padlocks are of suitable quality for the value of the property you are trying to protect. Consider other measures such as wheel clamps and trackers fitted to high-value items. Simple steps can make your property less attractive to criminals and reduce your chances of becoming a victim of crime”
