The Cyber and Fraud Centre – Scotland has strengthened its team with the appointment of a new Head of Cyber Training & Senior Security Advisor, and a new Business Development & Relationship Manager, supporting its continued growth.

Caolan Keenan joins as Head of Cyber Training & Senior Security Advisor, bringing a strong technical background in ethical hacking, cyber incident planning and response, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing. An Abertay University graduate, he previously worked with the Centre before moving into offensive security roles, gaining a range of experience.

In his new role Caolan will build on our established training programme, growing the Centre’s skills, training and testing services, including exercising and capability-building programmes designed to help organisations better understand and respond to cyber security threats.

Amanda Johnstone joins as Business Development & Relationship Manager, bringing over 25 years of experience, and most recently supporting SMEs to strengthen their cyber security foundations.

With a strong background in client engagement and education, Amanda is passionate about helping organisations understand their cyber security posture and take practical steps to improve it. She will focus on expanding the Centre’s reach and supporting organisations, particularly those without in-house cyber expertise, to access the right guidance and support.

Jude McCorry, CEO of the Cyber and Fraud Centre – Scotland, said “We’re delighted to welcome both Caolan and Amanda to the team. Their combined experience strengthens both our technical capability and how we support organisations across Scotland.

Building cyber resilience isn’t just about technology, it’s about people, skills and understanding. These appointments help us continue to grow that support for our clients.”

Speaking about his appointment, Caolan adds “I’m excited to be joining the Centre at a time where there’s real opportunity to expand how organisations build and test their cyber capabilities. There’s a very strong foundation here, and I’m looking forward Caolan and Amanda growing that further.”

Amanda added, “I’ve seen first-hand how challenging cyber security can feel for organisations without specialist support. I’m looking forward to helping more organisations access practical, understandable guidance to improve their resilience.”

The appointments come as the Centre continues to expand its work across skills development, incident response and organisational resilience, supporting businesses, charities, and public sector organisations across Scotland.
