Cyber security can be difficult to prioritise when resources are stretched, but charities are increasingly being targeted by cyber criminals because they often hold valuable personal, financial and supporter data.

As part of our commitment as a social enterprise, the Cyber and Fraud Centre – Scotland is offering 10 free cyber MOTs to charities across Scotland.

Delivered by our team of ethical hackers between October to December 2026, each Cyber MOT worth £1,500 each, provides an independent review of your organisation’s cyber security and highlights practical steps to help strengthen your defences.

What’s Involved?

The Cyber MOT includes:

  • A cyber security assessment completed by your organisation.
  • A review by our ethical hackers.
  • A tailored report highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Practical recommendations to help reduce cyber risk.
