Industry in the Classroom – Virtual Engagement Model Demo & Feedback Session
Skills Development Scotland have been developing a best practice Virtual Engagement model to allow industry to continue the great work they do with schools, so that learners still continue to receive the benefits that industry can bring to the classroom.
We want to make it easy for industry volunteers to run engaging sessions with schools across Scotland, not limited by geographic constraints or issues that would make delivering in-person difficult at this time.
During this session we will:
- Introduce you to a toolkit designed to make it easy for industry volunteers to work with schools virtually.
- Walk you through step-by-step, showing you the tools we recommend, and give examples of tried-and-tested approaches.
- Show you how to put together an activity plan with the right amount of interactivity and content. Including some pre-made activities which tie in with the Scottish computing curriculum.
- Get your feedback on areas that we could possibly improve.
